Your orders, your saved details and anything attached to your login are held here. It is private to you, and it is the most reliable place to check the status of something you have done rather than searching for a confirmation email.
Changing an address or a contact detail here updates it for future orders. It does not retrospectively change something already dispatched, which is worth knowing before assuming a correction has taken effect.
If the account looks empty, nothing has been recorded against it yet. That is the normal state for a new login rather than a sign something has gone wrong.
